The highlights of each Kan Do release, newest first.

1.5

  • Mac (macOS 27): dragging a card works from the moment the app opens. The column-reordering drop area sat on top of the columns at launch and swallowed every card drag until a task was opened. Dragging a column also works again on a board with an archived column.
  • New Task is the first button in the board's toolbar on every platform; the floating + circle is gone. The List / Kanban toggle moved to the top of the Project Settings menu (renamed from Project Info).
  • Snooze buttons: Snooze 1 Hour and Snooze Until Tonight (6 PM) on reminders. Both leave the task's date alone, so repeating tasks keep their schedule.
  • Widget Text Size slider in Settings ▸ Typography, and widgets follow the system text size, including accessibility sizes.
  • Default Text Style takes effect immediately in an open note.
  • Copy Link for any link in a task's chain popover or Links rows.
  • Share sheet: long shared text goes into the note in full; the title gets its opening words.
  • Store lock repair: a lock file carried over by a restore or transfer no longer leaves the app stuck on "Opening Your Data".
  • iPhone Duo: a compact layout when closed, the iPad layout when open.
  • AI Assistants (MCP): setup for ChatGPT and Codex alongside Claude; new search, edit, and delete-column tools.

  • Manual reordering on iPhone and iPad sticks again, including inside Today's sections.
  • Tasks with a start date appear in custom smart lists every day from start through due date.
  • Tapping empty space on iPad closes the open task instead of creating one; the iPad close chevron points right; swipe to dismiss is more forgiving.
